Based in the UK, Emily is a graphic designer and illustrator specialising in children's picture book illustration. Although, believe it or not, Emily actually came from a graphic design background, and it was not until she went to The University of Worcester as an undergraduate, did she discover illustration.
From there, she was left wondering if there was a way to combine all of her favourite things - books, nature and illustration. After much experimenting and tea drinking, to conclude, children's picture book illustration was found. Emily loves the freedom of imagination the specialism provides, so much so, she went back to university to study a master's degree in the subject.
In addition, Emily's style combines both digital brushes with printmaking techniques, often focussing upon nature as the subject matter. Her love of nature most likely originates from her childhood. Ever since Emily and her brother were little, you would often find them out and about exploring the countryside, then racing home with a pencil in hand to scribble down all the day's adventures along with creating stories.
With experience in graphic design and illustration fields, from logo design to editorial illustration and everything else in between, please feel free to get in touch. Last but, by no means least, thank you very much for stopping by to look through Emily's portfolio.
